If this sounds like your idea of a vacation – than look no further! The “Casa del Slug” is the perfect spot for your next family vacation. The “Casa del Slug” is a family-friendly, no-fuss vacation rental property centrally located in one of the best areas of Santa Cruz. You can walk to the Boardwalk, the Pier, the Yacht Harbor and even downtown Pacific Street from here. Seabright State Beach is one of the warmest, sunniest beaches in the County! It is ½ mile long and ¾ mile wide and bordered by the Yacht Harbor (and mini lighthouse) on the east side, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on the west side. Across from Seabright Beach is the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is just a 5 minute walk away! Many retail shops, restaurants and cafés are nearby, including the Seabright Brewery and one of the most popular burger places in town, Betty Burgers. The “Casa del Slug” is a delightful 2 bedroom, 2 bath two-story duplex with professionally landscaped yard with hot tub. This property features a reverse floor plan with one bedroom and bathroom located downstairs at street level, and sunny great room located upstairs (along with the master bedroom and bathroom). The upstairs faces West and allows for a lot of natural light to stream through the rows of windows and creates a bright, airy and cheerful space. The upstairs great room area opens onto a large sun deck – a excellent place to relax with your morning cup of coffee, or glass of wine at sunset. The “Casa del Slug” has a beautifully landscaped side yard, with a covered porch swing and semi-private hot tub area with outdoor shower. (The hot tub is perfect for sliding into after a sunny day at the beach!) Bike rentals are nearby and trails abound to take you in every direction alongside the water’s edge, or up into the mountains. Neighboring Capitola is just a short 5 minute drive, and the Monterey Peninsula is just 45 minutes South. Catch a ride on the Roaring Camp steam engine that leaves daily from the Boardwalk and travels up through the redwoods for an incredible family-friendly and scenic tour. Walk down to the Museum of Natural History and sit on the deck of Aldo’s Harbor Restaurant for dinner as you watch the boats drift in and out of the Harbor.
